Postby Hilux Max on Tue, 13 Apr 2010 1:03 +0000

Guys,

Toyota has done something that most of us would not expect of them...well atleast in the USA anyway.....

they put together probably the most offroad orientated pickup truck from the factory that there has ever been......285/75x16's on it......here that would mean 35's legally......

The Toyota Tacoma TX Package Concept was unveiled today at this year’s SEMA Show and promises to gauge public reaction to its unique design themes and multiple performance modifications.

Based on the 2010 Tacoma PreRunner SR5, the new car was developed by Toyota and Blue C advertising agency and features an unique dual theme design offering a new look but also maintaining the TRD brand heritage. The driver side graphic, named Tacoma TX2, is an evolution of the current TRD design while the passenger side graphic design, called the TX Pro, conveys the energy of today’s youth. The design theme is inspired by travels to SCORE International, Vans Warp Tours, Coachella Music Festival and SuperCross events. The design theme is completed by several performance modifications such as: TRD 16 x7.5-inch off road bead lock style wheels, BF Goodrich all-terrain T/A KO LT285/75×16 tires, a TRD stainless steel Cat-Back exhaust, Cadmium plated Bilstein 5100 Series shocks, a Genuine Toyota class 4 trailer hitch, a Genuine Toyota lightweight aluminum tube steps with a black finish, a Motoextender by Amp Research, and Genuine TRD floormats.

If only they put together a hilux like this.....even if it had 265/75x16's from the factory that would be a start....the FJ Cruisers come with 265's as standard fitment.
