How does the A Pillar bracket connect, do you rivet it in?

The A pillar uses 3 plastic body clips which you screw into using the three pieces in the last photo. I made sure to use silicone on 'em so no water ends up running into the cabin (now i realize i haven't tested that yet).

Was an easy install overall...

Glad to hear it was an easy one mate, I will be going down the same path myself next month!

The only difficult part was threading and tightening up the last bolt on the snorkel body closest to the door. If i had a ratcheting box wrench it would have been a breeze!

Yep... I cant wait to put em on. Will not be for another 2 - 4 weeks though as i am awaiting some tools and grease that i had ordered for this mod.

Todays small update was a simple swap installation of the KC wiring loom and relay to the lightforce wiring loom. Wired it all up to an illuminated switch on the high beams. Even though the lights wownt be installed until after my Xrox bar is ordered; its nice to have it (wiring) out of the way and done.

I also have a new problem... My drivers door cannot open from the outside. Turns out the whole thing is plastic and the part connecting it to the door innards mechanism failed due to stress?

on of my rear dores had done that but it doesnt work from the inside

ill fix it one day as it dont bother me cos im never in the back anyways

Yea luckily I found a place in Kingston that has it for about $40 USD. will pick up on the weekend.

Productive weekend for my lux's development....
Installed my aisin hubs.
Raised the front another 15mm
Found a used parts goldmine and replaced my broken door handle!



Next is to finalize the wheel / tyre combo (rim size and offset still under debate), and to do the body lift (may be a while).

So, i haven't shared it until now because i was uncertain and untrusting of the Toyota dealer in Jamaica... so I went and got 2 more opinions today and all agree... My 4wd hasn't been engaging for some time now due to me landing in a pothole as 4wd was engaged (yea, yea, i know... spare me the evil looks; it was a wet, slippery uphill concrete road)

Anyhow the consensus is the transfer box and i found one for approx US$500 ran out of time to install it but will report when its done...

This used parts place i found has EVERYTHING!! I'm pretty sure i will be able to find a direct swap set of diffs in time from them if i need after throwing on the 33" rubber.

Went to watch some motocross this past weekend... First time I wasn't racing and boy did it get My blood boiling that I couldn't participate, so i took the 'lux on the track....
