Somethings not adding up jack.....

are those rims 17x8's or 16x8's?

Are the tyres you getting 285/75x17 or 285/75x16

Once a 34" tyre and the other a 33" tyre.

Okay after chatting at great lengths with Max, his vast amounts of knowledge have swayed me off the bigger wheels for many reasons. Ill just be sticking with some 16x8 for now and getting started from there!
Again thanks heaps Max, without your help i would of went with the wrong decision and probably regretted it.....

no probs mate, but dont let my opinion change your mind if your dead set on doing it..Id love to see you do it, but would hate to see the heartache of you having to start cutting up your new truck when your not prepared or wouldnt want to go that far.

theres always time for that later on once you manage to get your first set of smaller tyres working properly and learning what can and cant work and how? then take it from there over time.

Right oh well after making the decision for staying with the 16" wheels i started look around again and found these..

I also found this pic with the rims i am interested in on some km2's, which ill more than likely be getting. Not sure in the pic of the tyre size..

Will be heading down to sydney in the begining of november to check out the shop and hopefully come back with some new gear....

Nice wheels, Jack, but it's almost like they are the only style Tempe sell for the Hilux judging by the photos on their site. :-)

Yes I totally agree with that one, that's about the only nice wheel they have in a 16", because they cater for more the cbd wigs with the fully doof door cars :x . It was that or some sunnies, that tempe sell anyway...

Well got the tyres and wheels!
Tyres: BFG KM2's 285/75R16
Wheels: 16x8, -6 offset Incubus Poltergeist.

Dont it make a difference, its amazing, it transforms the whole lux! Extremely happy with it
Yes i had to take off the front mudflap, and yes the body mount will have to be trimed, am planning to play around with this tomorrow. With a bit of chopping the guard and everything else.... Normal driving the tyres dont hit anywhere but on full lock and abit of flex they hit the mount! Which i knew would be the case anyway so wasnt a suprise.

Also took off the side steps in preperation for buddys sliders, which were meant to turn up today but they didnt :( , hopefully monday there here and will be on that night after work!

Anyway heres a few pictures, hope you enjoy.

Difference in the tyre size

looks good jack.....have you done your alignment/castor adjustment since the suspension has settled?

might be an option to get this double checked before trimming,.
