Well thought it would be about time i made my build. Ive been on here for a while, and finally the lux is going to get bit of a make over in the comming weeks/months! :D As Max is going to think, about bloody time :mrgreen: .

The hilux is a 2007 turbo deisel 4x4 dual cab!

Well i bought the lux off my grandparents little while ago but havent done anything to it. They had a steel tray and toyota bar already on it. The tray is great yet i plan on getting a tube head board as it has a square on at the moment. The bar will also be heading off shortly in place of a tjm bar with scrub bars and side steps.....

The hilux is mainly used for driving to and from work yet i go off-road when i can, so i guess like everybody i am looking for a great all rounder!

The things that ive done:
* Well i fitted a new GME 3220 and AE4705 antenna (6db) a few weeks ago.
* Upgraded the speakers to Apline type 'S' all round.
* Ultimates Sprint Booster.
* Widows tinted.
* 225/70R16 Goodyear Dura-Trac's.
* Seat belt beeper mod.
* Constant power to windows mod.

Things i got planned:
* Well i ordered a 3" billie kit from Cal Offroad the other day. Everything turned up yesterday except for a leaf spring, which the company (TNT) dont even know where it got too :o :evil: . As you could expect i was a very angry man because i had planned to fit it today. I just couldnt understand how they can make a 30kg leaf go missing, it aint the easiest thing to loose i would think. Now it will be fitted soon as they find my other leaf, when ever that may be! :cry: .
* 265/75R16 BGF KM2's, not sure on wheels yet.
* TJM delux bar with scrub bars and side steps.
* Lightforce XGT's.
* Rear ARB locker with compressor.
* Power module.
* Upgrading stock headlights to HID bulbs.
* Alpine head-unit and amp.
* And a few other things here and there (i could make a never ending list).

Jack :? :?

Yeah Jack just taking the piss mate :lol: :lol: :lol:
Good to see you got some pics up and started your build up, I was starting to wonder if you had a 'Virtual hilux" you know where you pretend you have one and fantasize about all the virtual mods that you do to it ! :lol: .........I think Shaker has one of those, have a look at his shed, all he has done is gone to an ARB shop and taken a couple of photos of the stock on the shelves , I reckon he drives a Honda Civic in his real world :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Finally mate.... :)
Well done...
Found the best place to put the handset for the CB is in that useless pocket next to your radio to protect the microphone I've lined the pocket using a Stubby cooler, so the pocket has two uses now.. Stubbie cooler and Microphone holder...Will upload a pic when I get a chance.
Good luck with the buildup.
Cheers

Well i got the lift fitted today! All together it looks great and has really transformed the look, though it needs some new bigger tyres.....
Cost me $400 for fitment and alignment. With the alignment they said there is no more camber or caster left! So not sure if that is correct without a second opinion or weather i should look at some new UAC's :? .

If its a better day here tomorrow will get more pics, and some flex shots but i hope you enjoy new look, i sure am! :D

Not too sure weather the cv angle looks to be bit steep but will let the master Max have the say. Also guessing it should settle down about 10mm-15mm after few weeks....

Just a digram of measurements.

Looks good, but those CV angles look pretty savage in the pic. I wouldn't expect it to drop to much, from experience 2-5mm usually, depending on spring quality.

Well the kit is from Cal-Offroad, and as i believe there Dobinson spring. But hopefully it goes down otherwise i may have to get a drop-diff kit :(
