Site has been restored

Postby Dave on Thu, 26 Jan 2023 10:19 +0000

Hi everyone,

We've had some issues with the site where someone was running a denial of service attack on it, which resulted in the site being shut down without getting any notification. We will investigate work a solution to ensure that doesn't happen again.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Cheers, Dave

Good news. I was starting to worry that I would actually have to do actual work on work time, instead of being productive on newhilux.net

Things got concerning there for a moment.

Have you thought about putting the service behind cloudflare? There is a very generous free tier https://www.cloudflare.com/plans/free/
