Sounds like you want good quality stuff under your truck by the list you provided (except for the blocks and spacers). Do it right the first time and use Ultimate Suspension or Monster Rides. Both top shelf products with excellent after sales support. Both Ultimate and MR can do almost any height you like and the MR front struts are adjustable in height from anywhere between 0-6" if you so desire. Most run about 3-3.5".

tnx for your help mate.. i`m living in IRAN,TEHRAN... the price of the ultimate kit is about 5500$ and it`s so expensive plus i can`t get supports... and i doubt that it can be installed without their specialist?? can i install hole ultimate kit here? is there any manual for this job?
can you give more info about spacers`s disadvantages?
and is there other way to lift about 3.5 inches without loosing ride comfort?
tnx again :)

Hey Wainui123,

Any chance you could post some pics of your truck with the new Ultimate setup?
Im looking at replacing my current setup with a kit from Ultimate.

Damn that looks good mate. Will sit down nicely with a bit of weight in the tray.

That looks pretty sweet. What was your overall height gain in the front? Ultimate are making up my kit at the moment and ken quoted a height of 560mm in the front for me. Would just like an idea of what mine will end up like.

Thanks skog! :D Your rig looks a lot better setup with the ultimate gear underneath. Im currently running the OME suspension and its sagging a lot in the front. Im hoping to get a new strut setup in the front and soften up the rear. I don't carry a lot of weight in the rear, do have a longranger tank(140L) fitted though and still find the ride too hard.

Am hoping to hear back from ultimate soon regarding possible setup options. Have heard lots of good things about them.

I have just purchased a 2014 SR5 and loving the practicality of a ute. However I did trade a 150 Prado in for it so there is a bit of a difference in ride comfort (which I was well aware of and willing to compromise in order to carry trail bikes etc). So the question is, what is everyone's thoughts on the best suspension setup for a softer, more controllable ride in the rear (I don not carry any weight 95% of the time)? I have been told by a friend who works at a Toyota dealership that Ultimate or Sax suspension are two of the best aftermarket suspension upgrades for comfort. I am not concerned in extra height- just a more comfortable ride.

Can anyone give me any personal experiences of one or both of these setups? Are there any comparisons? Is there any other brand I should be considering?

Sax? Comfort? Completely the opposite!

Give Ultimate a call and they will set it up to what you want, rolls royce soft to sax rough.

I've got sax you can have the leafs for free!!!! They are so uncomfortable its not funny. I hate them and going to change them when funds permit! They are way to stiff, if you have no weight in the back its constantly hard.
Aim for something softer

Wow. Thanks for the feedback guys. I wouldn't be popular with the missus if I spent the coin and didn't get a more comfortable ride. So Ultimate is the best out there for comfort? I know it's not going to feel like riding on a cloud but I hope to achieve at least the same comfort as a leaf sprung VW Amarok which is actually similar to me previous prado (that's no joke).

Surprised to hear the comments on the Sax springs.

Warnsie I have the Ultimate springs and happy with the result. The biggest problem with whatever setup is getting the correct spring weight to suit your needs, that is where Ultimate has the advantage over the rest in my opinion because they weigh your vehicle and make up the spring pack to suit whereas the others have set sizes with no customising available.
On the internet you can be anything you want. It is strange that so many people choose to be stupid!

Ultimate suspension makes sense Alby. When it boils down to it you are paying for a full customised setup which is going to be to your exact needs- no second guessing and no compromise.

After talking to Brett I will be going for the comfort springs and going as light as possible, but putting air bags in for when I need to carry a load or tow a camper trailer. Are there many people out there doing this type of setup?

Yep that exact one. Works great, is pretty "bouncy" off road with a light load though. Run about 10psi in the airbags unloaded.
Just remember that the air bags are only there to level and assist the load, not take it up to its normal height, if ya do that you'll run into dramas.

So air bags are going to make it bouncy or the soft suspension?

Ive booked my SR5 in to get the 2 inch lift done by Ultimate in the next 2 weeks. But am having second thoughts in regards to the height though. What are your thoughts on going higher? is the extra cost of the engineering certificate and all the other associated mods with lifting above 3inch worth the time?
I have been reading different posts for many weeks now. There is a lot of them and each search bring up different info. So long story short, Do i call them tomorrow and say 2 inch isnt enough?

WIth a 3 inch lift will 28575R16s easily fit? with no cutting. I have read different opinions on this and would like some clarification.

Cheers

Yes, I have 2" and 265/70/17 tyres. I would love more lift/bigger tyres/regear/another locker etc.. its all just a matter of money I suppose.

In saying that I have done some serious touring without an issue and do not feel the need to spend any more money….. however I did test drive a Landcruiser 76 yesterday, it was love/hate.
