check but they aren't 50mm more like 30mm (the front lift )
But this dose apply to alot of brands TJM were 40mm lift, Tough dog were 40mm lift
This was when i did mine things may have changed though
It dose depend alot on what weight you are carrying

Have a search mate. There are a lot of reports on the forum about the ARB stuff sagging over time, but that may have been resolved. They have some spring packers to address this though and seem to stand by their product in after sales service. Because of the sagging issue, I went with Tough Dogs and a lot of others seem to have followed suit since, It was not the cheapest solution though.

Check what Quinny has to say about TD's he seems to love his.

G'day Senrib,

See you're in Sydney. Have you checked out The Ultimate Suspension?

I have their 50mm lift kit fitted and couldn't be happier. Ken really knows his stuff and is significantly cheaper than ARB and many other big brands, especially for newhilux members, while delivering a quality product. I would encourage you to swing by their shop and check out what they've got. They've got a really good warranty too and a section on this website.

Cheers,

Watto

I heard good reports about there kit also....

I love the TD setup I have but it also has to do with the rear leaves being reset.... this made one of the biggest improvments to ride comfort and usability. So if your willing to pay I highly recomend getting the leaves reset... more info in my build up on how that works...

After a few big outings and so on, my front ended up sagging back to around 740 mark due to winch, bar work etc... the springs I use have a new version coming out that are slightly longer to compensate for this but I just used a few lift blocks on the front to regain the height and stop the 33"s rubbing the guards at the same time :D :D

The ride in the front and the fact they are adjustable is awesome. I dont adjust them often, only really prior to a weekend camping and then reset them when airing up on the way home... for day trips I'll change them depending on dificulty but more often than not they are well suited to any terain...

One downside to TD's is that the coil over is not adjustable without using a polyurithain or aliminuim spacer which Im not keen on.... They really should be designed like the bIllies or other shocks with the adjustable coil over position...

Quinny,

the coils you mentioned are not longer but are .5mm thicker in diameter......I'll be getting these fitted if I ever end up with a winch on the front.....

Does anyone know if ARB have sorted the sagging issue, or is the 2" lift (or ~30mm) kit still the same and still having issues?
I would've hoped that the problem would be fixed by now, been a few years.

I recently did mine and when i went in to arb they confirmed that it would only be a 30mm lift so i went with efs, I saved heaps of $$$ and happy with how they ride.
I couldn't repair my brakes, so I made my horn louder.

We have ARB suspension in our Hilux, it's been fitted for about 3 years now with out an issue.

We only travel about 15000K a year but thats mostly off road in harsh environments like the desert.

We replaced the rear springs about 8 months ago and had 2 more leafs fitted due to the constant weight we carry...about 2900Kg.

We're in the process of replacing the front struts and rear shockers with Tough Dog as we are finding for the weight and type of driving we do we are getting uncontrolled rebound in the front making it a bit bounce over undulating ground at high speed.

We have done testing between the ARB shock and the Tough Dogs and found the Tough Dogs ran about 50DegC. colder then the ARB ones in extreme conditions.

Apart from that we are very very happy with the way they have performed.

The next thing we will do is fit a set climax drop shackles to the rear for a bit more articulation.

Hey Senirb,
I've got OME suspension, on the back I've got heavy duty leafs which are hard but what i wanted because Im always under load. On the front i got 883 springs (17mm wire) and nitro shockies. I'm not real happy with the front now i have a winch on it sits too low so Im going to change the springs to king springs HD (18mm wire).
I reckon ARB make some of the best products for 4 wheelin but i wouldn't go with there suspension again.

I recently had my ARB lift fitted at Adelaide off road. Talk to Duncan down there he knows his stuff and takes pride in what his business does. I also had my 07 Hilux fitted out there and never had an issue and I'm sure the new owner is still enjoying her. They are at 65 Nelson street Stepney . Check them out definitely recommend them.
