Righto mate.

If your rear end goes up further you will need to lengthen the "A" in the diagram.
Cheers

I had a brake test commissioned by the local Toyota dealer. Can anyone tell me what it means other than the notation "passed" ? The brakes still feel non-existent after the LSPV replacement. http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg23 ... 210212.jpg

Guys I've been reading through the genuine Hilux repair manual, and it states to increase rear brake pressure you need to SHORTEN the rod.

It also states to get more pressure from adjusting the valve body height, you need to raise it!

This seems to be the opposite of what everyone is saying, and also doesn't make much sense when you think about it from a loaded tray perspective, but this is the genuine manual afterall.

That's what I don't understand - why would the genuine manual say to go the other way?

A) is refering to the no. 2 shackle.

B) is refering to the valvebody

Do you happen to have a diagram that points out which is which?

Its refering to the pressure applied to the rear brakes compared to the front brakes.

So its saying, IF the rear pressure is lower than the front, then Lengthen A

I got my LSPV extension from superior engineering, was about $30 bucks, one solid piece so no risk of connector nuts coming loose etc. after 2 inch lift in the rear, the rear brakes were non existent. Work a treat now. Un believable how much difference it makes.Highly recommend it.

This is where I was looking http://www.superiorengineering.com.au/a ... ng&x=0&y=0 hence the question.

Their site is a bit hard to navigate as you can't find these by looking under "brake parts" for a 2005+ Hilux. Pretty confusing because the item BIGFOOTJR has identified looks like a rod but Superior describe it as a bracket. Then they have a whole variety of items that do look like brackets. A case of not shopping on line I think and giving them a call. Cheers Noel

Has anyone bypassed the valve all together and just run extended hoses to the 't' on the axle?
