31inch tyres & rubbing somewhere

Need something to get you rolling?

Tyres 32/11.5/15

I reckon you will be pushing it. Geet somebody to turn the steering and see how much clearance you get.. Remember, the wider tyre will work against you when turning.

You might be better off looking at a narrower tyre. I quite like the Super Swamper TSL which I had on my last rig.

These are only 29", but the principle is the same. Thes tyres will take you anywhere!

Rod

Because it is narrower, it does not snag turning.

Tyres 32/11.5/15

Postby Hilux Max on Fri, 18 Apr 2008 9:19 +0000

unless you want to undertake some severe cutting and trimming of the guards, these wont fit with a stock suspension. Not only that but you need a 15x8 inch rim and I have not heard of anyone bringing out a 15x8 inch tyre yet due to clerance issues with the front caliper.

My 16x8 sunraysias just barely miss the caliper as it is, I wouldnt know how a 15x8 would work??

31" is the maximum with a little tyre rub at the front with no lift.

With a 50mm lift, no issues at all.

Hey Darrell,
I have 31x10.5x15 Scorpion ATRs on SR5 rims.
No rubbing at all. I have a tray back, but am fitting a tub this weekend, but I don't expect the rear to be a problem. Anyone after a tray for a Dual Cab???

cheers

Hey David,

really good, had them on sand, road, dirt and mud.
No extra noise than standard on the road, great on sand and dirt, happy with them in the mud for ATs.
Only 4000ks though, if they last long enough I'll get them again, $192 a corner fitted.

Hey David, the ATRs are LT. I think, although am not positive that the ATRs are the LT version of the old ATs that Pirelli no longer offer.

I think the tyres they tested were the old ones that are no longer sold but I heard they sold quick after that write up :(

The SR5 rims are 15x7.

You can fit the 32x11.5x15 tyres on the rims but technically speaking, the minimum width for 11.5" wide tyres is 8 to 8.5" if I remember correctly.

jep,

Don't think i have heard of a 32x10.5x15 tyre size.

There is a 33x9.50x15 by BFG.

A bit skinny but has the overall diameter if you are looking at larger tyres.

Postby Anth D on Thu, 12 Jun 2008 2:39 +0000

Hey all,

Brand new Mickey Thompsons 31" going on now, one question, will these rub? I don't want to have to get a lift kit already!

Any advice is much appreciated!
